At Shiloh Animal Hospital we practice the highest standards of care and cleanliness for cats staying with us. It takes a great deal of trust to board your cat and we do not take this responsibility lightly. Our staff are professional, highly trained and we love cats!
Boarding Policies/Guidelines:
- We require that all cats be current on their annual exam and vaccines.
- For new clients or patients, we will need to do a doctor exam at least 1 week prior to boarding.
- For felines this includes the following vaccines:
- FVRCP (prevents Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirirus and Panleukopenia
- FELV (Feline Leukemia Virus)
- Rabies.
- FIV positive cats or cats with other potentially contagious conditions will be boarded in our isolation room at an additional cost.
- Daily boarding charges are incurred at noon each day. If you pick up your pet before noon no charges for that last day will be incurred.
After noon charges will apply.
- Kittens must be at least 16 weeks old and current on their kitten shots.
- If your pet has a medical problem and you would like the doctor to evaluate while boarding, please let us know when you make the appointment or at the time of drop-off.
- If you would like your pet to have a nail trim while boarding, please let us know at drop-off.
- If your pet becomes ill while boarding, we will make every effort to reach you or the person you listed on the intake form as your representative. If we cannot reach you, we will administer treatment to your pet at regular clinic pricing.
- If there are any special requirements for your pet, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them. If your cat is on any medications, you can rest easy knowing that our medical team will oversee and administer all medications. Additional charges apply.
- Our visiting cats are always fed according to your instructions and fresh clean water is available at all times. We suggest you bring your cat’s normal food so that a change in foods does not cause an upset stomach while they are with us, but we can provide food if needed.
- If fleas or evidence of fleas are found on your cat, flea treatment will be administered for the safety of your pet and the other pets boarding with us. Charges will apply.
